1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website at www.qmtaxikauai.com or booking any service from QM Taxi & Tours LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services
QM Taxi & Tours LLC provides taxi transportation and private island tour services on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Services can be booked through our website, by phone, or by email. All bookings are subject to availability.
3. Bookings & Confirmation
- Submitting a booking request reserves your request but does not confirm service until you receive a confirmation notification from us.
- You must provide accurate contact information (name, phone number, email) to complete a booking.
- Bookings generally must be requested at least 30 minutes in advance. Rides scheduled between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM must be requested at least one day in advance. Call for same-day early-morning availability.
4. Cancellation Policy
- Prepaid Taxi Cancellations, 24+ Hours: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before pickup receive a refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.
- Prepaid Taxi Cancellations, Under 24 Hours: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup are non-refundable.
- Prepaid Tour Cancellations, 24+ Hours: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before pickup receive a refund minus a $50 cancellation fee.
- Prepaid Tour Cancellations, Under 24 Hours: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup receive a 50% refund.
- No-Shows: Taxi and tour no-shows are non-refundable.
- QM Taxi Cancellation: If QM Taxi cancels or cannot confirm service, any online payment for that booking is refunded in full.
- Pay-the-Driver Bookings: These reservations have no online payment to refund. Please notify us promptly if your plans change.
- Eligible Stripe refunds are returned to the original payment method. Bank processing times may vary.
5. Pricing & Payment
- Published airport flat rates are base fares for standard point-to-point routes and are confirmed after your booking details are reviewed.
- Non-airport rides, custom stops, detours, route changes, or unusual traffic conditions may affect the final fare.
- Taxi transportation can accommodate up to 8 passengers, depending on luggage and vehicle availability.
- Private tours are offered at $90 per hour with a two-hour minimum. Standard group size is 1-4 guests. Groups of 5-8 may be accommodated with advance approval, depending on vehicle availability, luggage, and gear.
- Additional charges apply for luggage ($2 per standard bag, $6 per oversized item or surfboard).
- Payment can be made directly to the driver (cash or card) or online via credit card.
- Online payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
6. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
By opting in to receive text messages from QM Taxi Kauai during the booking process, you agree to the following:
- You consent to receive automated text messages related to your booking, including confirmations, updates, and ride reminders.
- Message frequency varies based on your bookings (typically 1–4 messages per booking).
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- SMS consent is not required to book or purchase any service.
- You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one final confirmation message.

- We will not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
- Supported carriers include but are not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint. Coverage may be unavailable in some areas.
7. Passenger Responsibilities
- Passengers must be at the designated pickup location at the scheduled time. We will wait up to 10 minutes before the booking may be marked as a no-show.
- For airport pickups with a tracked flight delay, the pickup time is adjusted using the flight information provided. The 10-minute waiting period begins at the updated meeting time communicated after arrival.
- All passengers must wear seatbelts as required by Hawaii state law.
- Passengers are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle during their ride.
- Children under 4 years must be in an approved car seat (please bring your own or notify us in advance).
8. Limitation of Liability
QM Taxi & Tours LLC shall not be liable for delays or failure to provide services due to weather conditions, road closures, mechanical issues, or other circumstances beyond our control. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not responsible for personal items left in the vehicle.
9. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
